Annual report
The report is being worked on at the moment by Sally and the Accountant. It presents the objectives/achievements and financial results for year 2023-2024. The report will be available in the Charity Commission website ASAP.

Financial summary
2023-2024 was a good fundraiser year – our 2nd year since Covid with full year events organisation.

PSA raised 43K from fundraising activities in school year 23-24, up from 41k the previous year. Main fundraiser events: Auction GBP 10.5K / Summer Fair GBP 8.7K / Festive Fair GBP 7K.

PSA donated 27.5K to Rokesly Schools last year (PSA aims at always keeping reserves for emergency/special requests from Schools) and contributed to finance TTRS /Mathletics/ Various School trips / WCIT / Sport jerseys / chicks & butterflies in Infant / Playtime equipment/ books etc.

PSA also launched a successful fundraising special project of junior library refurbishment (now completed)

55K now in the account at the moment with 9K raised from events organised since September 2024.

Merchandise update
In school year 23/24, PSA spent 2.2K GBP on merch and took 2.7K GBP across pre-orders, online sales, school fairs and face to face sales. Profit of circa 500 GBP which is a good result knowing PSA tried to keep sale prices as low as possible despite costs rising.

Massive sales increase since the online website was launched – going from 70 garments sold 2 years ago to 200 last year.

As of now, we are almost completely out of age 5-6 years old (after more or less 25 new sales this term) and have very few hoodies of all sizes. A pre-order was recently added to the Pudding purchasing page (with 6 new orders resulting of that) Big thanks to all the enthusiastic parents who are keen for their kids to wear the Rokesly colours!

New small merch order will be approved in time for Festive Fair to restock the items we are lacking and have a good selection on offer.

A 2nd hand sale should also be organised in 2025 to sell pre-loved Rokesly merch items at discounted price.

Christmas pudding sale – PSA has sold c65 over 144 so far. 2 more Pudding sales comms are planned + a stall at the Festive Fair.

Update & requests from School Head
Bola is now Head of Junior + Infant since Grant retired in October.

Main requests for Infant School is about 6K GBP to make some works in the Nursery & Early years outdoor space (being too open at the moment hence overwhelming for children – need to close it down/shelter it + update the mud kitchen etc.)

Main request for Junior School is to finance the cost increase to cover the Mathletics program (quoted at a new annual cost of 3540 GBP until September 2026)

PSA has asked School how to participate in improving Junior & Infant playgrounds – looking at encouraging parents to give their ideas on how schools could be improved, and how we can finance bigger projects – i.e Library refurbishment etc.

Bola explained the Junior playground is actually convenient as it is, as big enough for having 2 PE lessons at the same time, and loads of kids running around during break times.

She reminded that the PSA has helped financing (in part, or all) the sun shade (15K), the climbing frame (15k), the multisport area, the floor marking, the sport equipment, the football jersey, the wet break boxes, the first aid training etc.

Any other business
-Dani’s main goal is to update the PSA website in order to improve/centralise the communication with parents when it comes to advertising PSA actions and also donating to school (through wish-lists rather than many comms) etc. Also plans to update the PSA Newsletter as soon as possible to make the communication better and for parents to get a clear message that we need their support.

-Match funding needs pushing with all parents as a great way to get extra money during a fundraiser event.

-Dani successfully agreed a deal with Martin Gerrard for exclusive sponsorship – boards, bouncy castle etc.
