Class Reps

Be a class rep at Rokesly

Being a class rep is a fantastic way to get involved in school life! It’s a chance to connect with other parents and carers in your class, your year group, and across the school—while also building a positive link with your child’s teacher. We aim for two reps per class, with each taking on the role for one school year.

What you'll do:

  • Champion Rokesly’s values – Be a welcoming face for your class community, promoting inclusivity and making sure PSA and class messages are clear, simple and accessible to everyone.

  • Keep in touch with the class teacher – Check in about class needs (e.g. help for trips) and confirm event details before sharing.

  • Organise one social event per term – Coffee mornings or evening drinks; casual and inclusive for all parents/carers.

  • Encourage everyone to get involved – Every parent/carer has something to offer. Your support can help others feel confident and included.

  • Organise collections – Typically for end of year gifts for teachers and TAs. Some classes like to include support staff, like lunchtime supervisors.

  • Attend PSA meetings – Your presence and input are welcome, but how you participate is up to you!

Being a class rep is a meaningful role that helps strengthen the whole class community, and most importantly, it positively impacts all the children in your class.

As a Rokesly parent, you're already a member of the PSA!
So why not get involved? Your support is greatly appreciated.

This guide was prepared by the PSA Committee. Thank you!
