Updates

Daniella
Bex and Daniella attended the Governor meeting to coordinate the school and PSA.

School keen to work towards bigger item funding goals and support for key improvements that the

Parent wide survey showed parents desire

We need to harness the funding enthusiasm and strategy to make goals happen.

Good to get feedback with school on what we are raising funding for and how we integrate it.

Miss Soneye-Thomas
Good to see influence of start to finish. “One clear vision’ that everyone can work towards and bringing the teams together. Strategic overview but to keep two different feelings of infants and juniors.

3 staff members on maternity leave and deputy head on sick leave, so she is prioritising what most important and delegating decisions.

Financial audits for juniors and infants next week.

Dani
Requested some leads on what the school would like to do;

Miss Soneye-Thomas

Infants

  1. 1back of reception classes to be used more intentionally

  2. 2Specialists have been in to discuss solutions

  3. School to discuss with the children the different ideas

Mound area (grass section)

  1. This is an unplayable area due to rubble and sink holes. The local authority tried to fix this but only a thin layer of grass and not safe. Suggested that this be changed to Astroturf as can then be used for the children to play on.

Playground

  1. this can’t be changed to Astroturf as wouldn’t allow it to be used for other things such as the

  2. summer fair and outdoor cinema.

  3. Trees on bank have been suggested but would obscure the light to the houses behind.

  4. The ‘no man’s land’ section can’t be changed to a living wall as we don’t know who owns it and we would need permission.

Garden project

  1. 1set up a similar project to the library

  2. Need a team to run this and raise funds and initiate.

  3. Removal of pond and redundant sheds agreed

  4. Moving shed outside infants classes to be moved

Art Room project

  1. to use old rainbow classroom

  2. Natasha (Year 2 teacher) will be leading this

  3. Needs donations of supplies and funding for refurb

  4. Suggested parents could offer workshops

Dani
Important for the school to have big ideas and little things that the PSA can get behind. Also important to tell parents of things achieved in the past.

Needed
Sports, Art, Library and Senco - wish lists

Holly
Update on website

  1. going ahead and just collating data

  2. Making it easy to navigate and better for advertising events

  3. Hoping to generate new interest and make fund raising easier
